On a hot summer's night in Toronto, a Broken Social Scene show tops all expectations and resonates deep into the morning, into the lives of two close friends….closer than they knew.
Unbelievable: Bruno wakes up in bed next to Caroline, his long time crush. But tomorrow she's off for school in France, and maybe she only granted this miracle as a parting gift for her long time friend. So tonight -- tonight is Bruno's last chance. And tonight, as it happens, Broken Social Scene, her favorite band, is throwing a big outdoor bash. Maybe if Bruno, with the help of his best pal Blake, can score tickets and give Caroline a night to remember, he can keep this miracle alive.

Il y a tout juste un an, le 11 juillet 2009, Bruce McDonald et Kevin Drew ont décidé que le concert donné par Broken Social Scene à Toronto devrait faire l'objet d'un film. Par crainte qu'un film concert soit sans intérêt, l'équipe de production a choisi d'y ajouter une trame narrative scénarisée par Don McKellar (Le Violon Rouge).
Bruno se réveille au côté de Caroline pour qui il entretient un béguin depuis longtemps. Il n'arrive pas à y croire! Toutefois, elle doit partir étudier en France des les jours qui viennent. Alors, Bruno n'a qu'une soirée pour offrir un miracle à Caroline. Avec l'aide de son meilleur ami Blake, Kerr Hewitt, il fera tout pour obtenir des billets pour un concert extérieur, hors de l'ordinaire, de Broken Social Scene, le groupe favori de Caroline. Une soirée inoubliable!
Évidemment, Broken Social Scene, un groupe torontois, a réalisé la bande-sonore de ce long métrage dont une majeure partie leur est destinée. Notons que le groupe a composé une chanson pour The Tracey Fragments, aussi réalisé par Bruce McDonald, en 2007. Parmi la filmographie de ce cinéaste, vous pouvez retrouver quelques documentaires télévisés portant principalement sur la scène musicale torontoise dont The Rawside of Die Mannequin et The Rawside of Metric (2008).
